Mountain water processed with amazing fragrance in a heavily fruited cup. Smooth and sweet, with tangy brightness. This is an EXCELLENT decaf coffee that you'd never guess is decaf. This particular lot is selected prior to being washed, whereas most decaffeinated coffees are simply the left overs. This coffee is a fully washed coffee, but has a lot of similarities with a darker honey process, or even natural processed coffee.
Altitude Range: 1200-2000 masl
The majority of coffee farms in Colombia are less than 5 acres. Most Colombian coffee farmers have their own small wet mills on the farm; basically a depulper, a fermentation tank, and water with which to wash their coffee. The harvest of the day is typically depulped in the afternoon, fermented overnight, and dried on patios on the farm, where the farmer can control the quality.
